Introducing menstrual leave in Ukraine: for or against?
In 2023, Spain introduced “menstrual leave,” which allows women to take time off during their periods. Similar approaches are being implemented in Asian countries, such as South Korea, which provides additional pay for female workers who continue to work during their periods.
It would seem that the law on menstrual leave could make life easier for many women in Ukraine. However, the introduction of a new labor standard also carries risks associated with discrimination.
