About the network
The National Mediator Network of the Public Organization "La Strada-Ukraine" is a voluntary association of mediators who have completed the basic training of a mediator according to a program with a volume (duration) of at least 90 hours of training, including at least 45 hours of practical training and/or have undergone training in the basic skills of a mediator (mediation) for at least 48 hours before the entry into force of the Law of Ukraine "On Mediation" (December 15, 2021), and also have the appropriate certification from the NGO "La Strada-Ukraine" and share the values of the NGO "La Strada-Ukraine" Ukraine".
The national mediator network of the NGO "La Strada-Ukraine" is represented by 40 mediators from 17 regions (Vinnytsia, Volyn, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Kirovohrad, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Kharkiv, Kherson, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Odesa, Kyivska and the city of Kyiv.
The work of mediators is concentrated mainly in educational institutions - 80% and 20% in the community.
The National Mediation Network was created by the Public Organization "La Strada-Ukraine" to promote non-violent conflict resolution, help conflict parties find a mutually acceptable solution to the situation, build peace and protect human rights; combating violence, gender discrimination, human trafficking and child abuse, etc.
Activities of the National Mediation Network of the NGO "La Strada-Ukraine"
In 2023, the National Mediation Network of the NGO "La Strada - Ukraine" held 979 events, of which 39% were mediation and alternative methods of resolving conflict situations, 21% were recovery circles, and 40% were informational and educational events. 16,011 people (67% students, 21% specialists, 12% parents/community members) were covered by the activities of mediators, of which 4% are men, 28% are women, 32% are boys, 35% are girls.
As part of the activity of mediators of the National Mediator Network, 821 conflicts were resolved in 2023.

The composition of the National Mediator Network may change by excluding or adding new members who meet the requirements of mediators of the National Mediator Network.
