Between 2020 and 2024, the National Police of Ukraine recorded 828 criminal offenses under Article 149 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — “Human Trafficking.” Trafficking has been and remains a pressing problem for our society — especially in times of war. Loss of housing and jobs, change of residence, and family difficulties increase the vulnerability of Ukrainians, sometimes making them “easy prey” for human traffickers. And thanks to rapid digitalization, the activities of criminals are becoming even more dynamic.
