National round table on monitoring the implementation of the recommendations of the Group of Experts of the Council of Europe on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings (GRETA)

December 23 - the National Round Table on monitoring the implementation of the recommendations of the Council of Europe Group of Experts on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings (GRETA) was held by the NGO "La Strada-Ukraine" together with the Secretariat of the Human Rights Commissioner of the VRU.

During the event, which was also attended by the Government Commissioner for Gender Policy, representative of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, inthe board for combating crimes related to human trafficking, the Coordination Center for the provision of legal assistance, the Institute for the Modernization of the Content of Education, representatives of regional state administrations and public organizations, the International Organization for Migration, summarized results, monitoring conclusions and recommendations were presented.

Based on the results of the event, the recommendations of the round table will be prepared, which will be sent to the relevant institutions for consideration during the preparation for and Ukraine's passage of the third round of GRETA monitoring (2021) during the development of the next State Social Program to combat human trafficking.

 

 

The event took place within the framework of the project: "Advocacy to improve the response of the state and policy against human trafficking", which is implemented with the support of the International Organization for Migration and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway.
